Aucoin Hart Jewelers
AUCOIN HART JEWELERS, once known as Hart Jewelers, has a storied history dating back to 1927 when the Hart family laid its foundation on St. Bernard Ave. In 1952, watchmaker Bert Aucoin joined Hart Jewelers and infused his passion for jewelry into the business over the next few years. In 1957, Bert Aucoin aquired Hart Jewelers and relocated it to Old Metairie. With a desire to keep “Hart” in the business name and further impart a distinct service culture, Bert Aucoin was able to preserve the loyal customer base of Hart Jewelers. In 1969, his sons, Tommy and Michael Aucoin, joined, followed by Tommy’s wife, Donna, and later their sons, Tommy Jr. in 1997 and Ryan in 2000.
